There are four swimming pools, located at Schofield Barracks,
Helemano Military Reservation (HMR), Aliamanu Military Reservation
(AMR), and Tripler Army Medical Center. The Richardson Swimming
Pool at Schofield Barracks is the largest swimming pool in
the Department of Defense, 103 meters long. The pool has a
bulkhead to conduct several activities at the same time as
well as a new 150-foot long slide. Learn to Swim classes are
available at all pools. Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certification
training is available at Richardson, AMR, and HMR pools. Richardson
Pool, Schofield Barracks has a gazebo and slide that are available
for a small fee, for private parties.
Per AR 215-1, Children 12 years old and under must be
under the supervision of a parent or guardian at USAG-HI
swimming pools. Effective date will be January 2, 2007. For
