Thanks to requests from our valuable customers, Outdoor Recreation is now able to take Equipment Checkout Center reservations/ Program registrations via phone with a credit card payment. Available to all FMWR eligible guests already registered in RecTrac database. Please call the Outdoor Rec Center, 655-0143, for more information or to register. *Min. 50% deposit required for all Equipment Center reservations, 100% payment due for Program registrations.

If that wasn’t enough, the good old fashioned checkout items you’ve always counted on are still available. Camping equipment, like tents, lanterns, stoves, and coolers are available, as are land and water sports equipment too. Kayaks, boogie boards and surfboards; softball, volleyball and flag football sets are just some of what we have to offer. The ever-popular party essentials of inflatable bouncers, canopies, tables, chairs, coolers, a large trailer BBQ grill, cotton candy, popcorn, and even shave ice machines are also all still available. We’ve even got a dunk tank!

Prefer Water Sports?

Then you’re in luck: Ocean Concepts Scuba is now located at Outdoor Recreation! They carry rental gear if you already know how to dive, and offer PADI certification in Basic and Advanced Open Water dive courses for those who want to learn. Curious about scuba but don’t want to drop a bunch of money to find out? Then try Discover Scuba, a new FREE intro lesson on the basics of diving available at Richardson Pool on Schofield Barracks. Want a little more land-based action?

It’s easier than ever now with Paintball Hawaii! We’ve got two new fields now open on Wheeler Army Air Field offering inflatable outdoor courses just perfect for letting out a little aggression. We’re working on a third field too that’ll offer Airsoft in an urban warfare setting! In the meantime, you can do PT, team-building, instruction, leagues, youth and adult play, and just about anything else you can think of!
