Parent-Community Networking Centers (PCNC) serve to
create supportive partnerships between the home, the
school, and the community for the purposes of improving
student achievement, performance and growth, and
building a sense of community.

Private schools are licensed by the Department of
Education and are required to provide a program of
instruction equivalent to the minimum standards
established by the state. To obtain a

The Joint Venture Education Forum is a
cooperative effort between the Department of Defense
and the Hawaii State Department of Education to
improve learning for all students.

for guidelines and information to help with their move and
transition to Hawaii.
