The New
Parent Support
 The New Parent Support Program (NPSP) has three independent
practitioners who conduct home visits. The program has a strong
record of success and uses the Nurturing Parenting Program model
to help parents learn stronger parenting skills and reduce risk
for violence or additional family violence against children. The
NPSP is an early intervention program that will work with
parents during the pregnancy and with small children up to three
years of age. NPSP will work with the family systems to reduce
risk of child abuse and to provide professional knowledge in the
development of children. The parenting programs under FAP for
small children are also available from the NPSP team.
